Erin grew up in New Mexico and Oklahoma in a family of four. Her parents still live in Oklahoma and her brother and his wife currently live in North Carolina. She went to University of Oklahoma for the first two years of college and transferred to CU in 2011 after God showed her that He wanted her here. She obtained her BA in Sociology in May 2014. She has been involved in Challenge since her freshman year of college and has loved every minute of it! This is her first semester as a Challenge intern and she's excited to see all that God has for her life and the lives of college students on CU’s campus.

"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful."
-- Hebrews 10:23
This verse reminds me that circumstances don’t dictate who God is. He is constant in His love and faithfulness toward us, and therefore, we can be sure about the hope He offers.
I enjoy reaching out to women especially because I want each of them to know how valuable and loved they are. Additionally, a couple years ago, God began to work in my heart to develop His heart for people of every nation, and I began going to events based around International students which is always a new and fun experience. I also enjoy teaching little kids because it allows God to remind me of the simplicity and magnitude of His love for all people.
I love learning about people, their backgrounds, and their cultures. And I also like to try Frisbee sometimes.
FAVORITE NON-AMERICAN FOOD
Nutella. And my grandma used to make these homemade ravioli and meatballs with a recipe straight from her homeland in Italy. SOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOD. All things Italian I guess.
WHY AM I ON STAFF WITH CHRISTIAN CHALLENGE?
Well, I had several people in college who really helped me understand myself, and what it means to hand over all of my junk to Jesus and live in His grace, so I want to attempt to help others do the same. I know this transitional season of life is somewhat strange in deciding what’s next, but I figured I might as well use it to respond to God in love because He first loved me. And it’s a blast.
WHAT IS SOMETHING UNIQUE ABOUT YOU?
The phrase that really describes me: "Has anyone seen my keys"?
